From the outset, The Keel project was specifically conceived to fit precisely with the private rented sector’s profile. In collaboration with Mapeley, owners of the former HMRC office premises, we worked to secure planning for the conversion to 240 apartments.
The Keel also offers residents a large gym, a hotel-style/concierge and extensive storage facilities, all set within an impressive 5.4 acres of open space overlooking the Queen’s Dock.
PV cells were installed on the roof of The Keel in 2018, helping reduce The Keel’s carbon emissions by 25,000kg each year.
Glenbrook secured forward funding with Moorfield in 2014. Brock Carmichael Architects and Pochin Construction came onboard with us, and the works were completed in September 2015. In 2018, Moorfield sold the stabilised scheme to Barings, benefitting from a significant uplift in value.
